The excavation for the Hughes Residence in Pinon Soleil in Castle Rock is largely completed. It is a very complex excavation due to the slope of the hill coupled with the large number of floor elevations. There are elevations for the garage, the basement, the sport court sub-basement, the pool deck and the patio. The site also required a certain amount of over excavation due to poor soil.The site itself is relatively tight meaning that the contractor had to keep most of the backfill on site.

Despite all the complexity, the City of Castle Rock approved our architecture and engineering without any comments. Looking forward to seeing the formwork begin to go in for all of the foundation footings and walls.
