Blue Spruce Habitat for Humanity Duplex Exterior Complete
On a drive through Kittredge I stopped in to look at the Blue Spruce Habitat for Humanity duplex on South End Road. The exterior is basically complete and they are making great strides inside.
One of the design goals for the project was to consolidate all access to one driveway and have a structure that looks like market rate housing rather than an affordable duplex. This meant moving the entrances to two different sides, providing usable porches and maintaining a decent roof pitch and overhangs. I think it is relatively successful given the challenges of the site.
We've tracked this project from bare land to plans to near completion.
