I spent some time this week at the Caribbean School of Architecture in Kingston, Jamaica. It is very interesting to compare the education and output of the students there to the American universities that I am familiar with. The quality of the work coming from the school is quite good and the students are finding employment throughout the region. They have a similar push to schools in the States with a strong emphasis on sustainability. CSA is the only English speaking architecture school in the Caribbean.

I was invited to come back for end of the semester juries and I'm looking forward to making that happen. I traveled there largely on the Fisher Traveling Scholarship that I was awarded in April at the Young Architect's Awards Gala.
