  1. HELLO!

I bought a bungalow in Denver 2 years ago and have been working on rehabing this myself (with a couple of friends and 2 grown sons) I have enjoyed these past 2 years working on the inside, building a 2 level deck 2 to see the city and mountains, landscaping the front /side yards (just ahve to finish building some type of patio for the back) and now I am STUCK. My basement has a seperate entrance, I have approximately 2 rooms for a basement the rest is crawl space. I would like to dig out one more room and create a 1 bedroom apartment to rent out. I was a stay at home mom for years and then a single parent for years so my retirement and social security funds are low. My sons encourge me to remodle this basement to help with my retirement.

  2. Hi Joyce,
We can help you with your situation. I would like to recommend one of our structural engineers to visit the property and determine if the existing conditions will allow digging out part or all of the crawlspace to enlarge the basement. We just completed a project where the crawlspace was converted into a basement. Not a cheap solution, but can be done if conditions are right. If needed, our architects can also help provide solutions to gain the most out of the new basement area. Please give me a call at 303-670-7242 ext 4. Jim Houlette PE

  3. I would love to be HGTV's, but I live in Colorado Springs, just south of Denver. I don't live in the best part of our city, but still love to re-do rooms in my home. Thanks for the consideration!

  4. Dear HGTV,

I am the "Ultimate" HGTV addict. I am embarrassed to say that most days HGTV is on my TV a "minimum" of seven hours, and that is just during the daytime. Since I do not have a television in my kitchen, dinner preparation becomes a challenge between cooking and running into the living room for fear of missing something that I'm sure will someday become part of my dream home.

Approximately four year ago I purchased a small two bedroom one bath house in the Highlands area of Denver. It is located close to Sloans Lake and downtown Denver. It is also centrally located to all other areas of Denver, Boulder, Golden and Colorado Springs.

I would love HGTV to give me a designer kitchen/living room makeover. Please, please, please consider my request.

    Sincerely,
    Angela Harrell
