Denver Recycles Composting Collection Program
Denver Recycles has started a pilot program for compost recycling. I live at one of the 3,000 Denver homes in the test area (my portion of Stapleton is one of the areas) and the pictures are scans of the flyer that I found on my purple recycling container yesterday. They say they'll pick it up twice a week during the growing season and once a week during the winter.
In the past we have been putting yard debris, food waste and soiled paper into our trash because it wasn't part of the recycle program. The normal recycle program works very well where you can recycle cardboard, glass, aluminum, plastics, paper etc. You don't even have to separate them.
I've signed up for the pilot program, I'll let you know how it works out.
