I wanted to share this diagram from a recent meeting. The project is still in early planning stages so I can't tell you what it is, but its fun to see these early process images.

I had lunch today with Bob Hinz of HomeWrights. We have done several projects with HomeWrights in the last year and I would highly recommend speaking with them if you might be interested in doing your residential project as an owner/builder.

They are a great resource to guide you through the building process for a fee that is significantly less than a traditional general contractor. They build quite a few houses each year and as a result have the ability to get good pricing and reliable subcontractors that frequently offsets their fee. In addition, they'll help you with your budgeting process on the front end with great detail.

Finally, its worth noting that Bob and Mary referred Beth Concha to us when we were looking for an employee and that's turned out very well.
