REALTOR Magazine has published an article on green building's impact on commercial buildings.

It features our Evergreen Terraces Office Building design including images and information on the client and realtor. We designed the building and completed the LEED research and design work.

Installation of Solar Panels on Evergreen Terraces

It wasn't exactly the warmest day for a PV installation, but better to get the panels up before the snow really starts falling! The Evergreen Terraces office building is getting the final touches put on for its photovoltaic array. The system was installed by Standard Renewable Energy and is an integral component of our LEED silver design goals. The system will have an integrated display in the lobby of the building, providing a visible display of the actual energy creation in realtime. More on that when the installation is complete.

One of the items that is very interesting about Evergreen Terraces is that it was not designed specifically with LEED Certification in mind. The building was well into construction when the owner approached us to see what we would need to do to achieve the LEED Silver designation. With a few minor tweaks and a little extra analysis and paperwork we were able to achieve this result.

I am frequently asked questions about whether or not we do "sustainable: or "green" design. The answer is yes, we have a sensibility about our designs where we take into account site, materials, energy efficiency, insulation, indoor quality and proper systems. We don't have an agenda to force green design, instead we integrate it seamlessly into each project as it seems appropriate.
