Unfortunately it is because I'm able to tell you that most of University Hills is zoned R-1 and there aren't any options for accessory dwelling units (ADU's) in R-1. I'm sure your seasons are also relatively consistent. I don't know your exact location but I'm assuming that you'll want year round cooling and therefore designing the shading for the lowest sun angle will be appropriate to give you full shade throughout the year. Generally windows facing east are not major heat contributors so facing the views is probably a good option, though you'll want to make sure that there isn't significant thermal mass on the east to hold in the morning sun.
